The first video, below, shot in a quiet room at IBMA World of Bluegrass in 2007, provides a great opportunity to hear what this instrument sounds like, and includes a few comments about the instrument by Rob and luthier Tim Scheerhorn. (Or you can just skip to 3:20 if you want to steal a few "Salt Creek" licks). Not seeing the videos? You may need to click a security message at the top of your screen to "allow block content" if you are not seeing the two video screens below.
In the 2nd video, Rob plays a Model 6535R right out of the box, Tim and Rob discuss topics such as the "feel of the guitar", the geometry of the neck angle, the cone, and the mix of wood & metal. Rob sneaks in a micro-lesson, at 2:34, on playing in G minor.
